This is an exciting time for us at Standalone Farm, we are looking for our Education & Learning Officer, could this be the role for you?
Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will have responsibility for designing, delivering and managing engaging educational programs and activities to schools, youth organisations and our community who visit us at the Farm.
As Education and Learning officer, you will work both independently and as part of the wider Farm Team to enhance the visitor experience of the venue, while assisting the management team with the smooth running of all events and daily operational management of the venue.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- develop, promote and deliver a diverse range of educational programs and activities aligned with the farm's mission and objectives.
- create engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote visitor’s understanding of farm animals, agriculture, and the environment.
- to deliver educational workshops, guided tours, and events to visitors of all ages
- working closely with the Farm and Marketing Team on the publicity and marketing of education programmes, events and activities.
- work with the management team in setting goals for performance and deadlines in line with the company’s strategic vision
- to actively encourage new ideas and teamwork in order to promote our customer experience and engage staff in contributing a voice to such discussions
- to ensure all visiting event performers and education groups have a positive experience and operate within health and safety guidelines.
- to support the Commercial Manager with the Commercial operations as required.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Previous experience of designing and delivering education programmes / initiatives
- a passion for education and learning
- the ability to step up to provide supervisory support and develop other staff.
