Purpose

To provide sophisticated, holistic financial advice to high-net-worth individuals and families, ensuring tailored wealth management solutions that reflect their complex needs, long-term objectives, and intergenerational planning considerations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial goals, current circumstances, and future aspirations.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial reviews covering pensions, investments, protection, estate and tax planning.
  • Develop, present, and implement holistic financial plans aligned with client objectives.
  • Maintain ongoing client reviews and proactively manage client portfolios in response to market movements, tax changes, and life events.
  • Provide guidance on sophisticated investment structures (e.g. trusts, IHT mitigation strategies, family investment companies, offshore structures where appropriate).
  • Remain fully compliant with FCA (or applicable regulatory body) regulations and uphold internal governance and ethical standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products, tax legislation, and market trends.
  • Work closely with paraplanners and administrators to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Monitor client portfolios and conduct regular reviews, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow client assets under management and develop new business.
  • Keep detailed, compliant, and secure client records using appropriate CRM and wealth management systems.

  • High level of technical knowledge across pensions, investments, estate planning, and taxation.
  • Discreet, professional, and used to working with sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to identify new opportunities.
  • Organised and self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • IT literate – comfortable using financial planning tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.

Experience:
 
  • Experience in a client-facing financial advisory role conducting one-to-one meetings helping to build client relationships.
  • Proven track record of delivering holistic financial advice and managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex financial planning advice and manage significant client assets.
  • Experience with cashflow modelling software and investment platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent) – Essential
  • Chartered Financial Planner status or working towards – Desirable
  • Relevant qualifications in tax, trusts, or estate planning – Desirable
  • Current Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) – Essential
  • Full Driving licence with no convictions
 

Additional Information:

  • This role will require travel for client meetings and/or industry events.
  • Ongoing professional development and structured support will be provided.
  • A strong internal paraplanning and administrative team will support the advisory process.
