£50,000 – depending on experience and qualifications
Letchworth/Hybrid (3 days in office per week)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Building & Maintenance Surveyor in our Property Team, helping us to maintain and enhance our varied property assets.
 
ABOUT THE ROLE 
 
This is a varied role with responsibility for:
 
- Conducting building surveys and inspections to assess the condition and identify defects;
- Providing expert advice and supporting Asset and Facilities Managers with the maintenance of commercial and residential property assets;
- Maintaining, repairing and refurbishing buildings;
- Completing routine inspections and drafting planned maintenance and asset improvement plans, including energy efficiency and sustainability enhancements;
- Specifying, procuring and managing delivery of maintenance and refurbishment projects;
- Specifying and procuring term maintenance contracts and supporting with the performance management of service providers.
 
ABOUT YOU

You will have:
- Chartered status with RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards chartered status
- Degree in building surveying, construction management or related field 
- Proven experience in building surveying, building maintenance or project management, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of building regulations, compliance, planning laws, construction processes, health and safety and contract administration
- Proficiency in survey software and relevant industry tools
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
- Full UK Driving License
