We are looking to recruit a full time Financial Controller to oversee all financial and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and providing strategic financial insights to support decision making.
 
Reporting into the CFOO, the role will include, but is not limited to:


  • Financial Reporting: Preparing accurate and timely financial accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

  •  Budgeting and Forecasting: Leading the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against budget, and identifying and explaining variances. 

  • Financial Analysis: Analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost efficiencies or revenue growth. 

  • Internal Controls: Ensuring the finance team operates within a robust control environment, reviewing internal control policies and procedures and making change suggestions where appropriate. 

  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating financial risks, collaborating with senior leadership to develop risk mitigation plans. 

  •  Compliance: Ensuring compliance with financial laws and regulations, overseeing the audit process and liaising with external stakeholders. 

  • Team Leadership: Supervising and managing the finance team, providing guidance and support. 

  • Strategic Contribution: Contributing to the financial strategy of the business and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. 

  • Management Reporting: Developing management reports and dashboards to support decision-making. 

  • Working capital: Overseeing the debt collection process, reviewing WIP balances and managing cashflow. Developing KPIs and driving improvements. 
 
 
Experience and attributes
 
  • Prior experience in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller role
  • Must hold ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience of working within a professional services environment would be an advantage
  • Experience of making improvements and delivering change
  • Excellent communication skills
