We have a new and exciting opportunity for an apprentice to work within our property team in Letchworth.
Our Property Team are responsible for the active management of the Letchworth Garden City Estate. The overriding focus of the team is to efficiently steward and proactively manage the Foundation’s diverse property assets to generate income, enhance value, provide excellent operational facilities and to ensure the estate is maintained to a high standard. The team is also central to the promotion of the Garden City and its economic growth and the delivery of the Foundations charitable objectives.
Working closely with our experienced surveyors to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of commercial property surveying. This apprenticeship is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to become a Chartered Surveyor.
You will study online through University College of Estate Management, undertaking a 5-year, Level 6 undergraduate degree apprenticeship. Consisting of part time study over 4 years and an Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) for a period of 6 months, leading to MRICS qualification.
Alongside studies, there will be full on the job training.
Working hours are 35 per week over five days normally 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with one day per week dedicated to studies.
Skills required
- Good communication and organisational skills are needed.
- A keen interest in the commercial property sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Qualifications Required
- GCSE English and Maths preferably at Level 4 (Grade C).
- Level 3 qualifications which equal to A levels/BTEC - a minimum of 96 UCAS points
- Must be eligible to live, work and remain in England
