Are you passionate about quality and ensuring high standards are met? We are looking for a dedicated Quality Auditor (QA) to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining and improving the quality of our products while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across three key areas on a rotating basis: raw material intake, cut production, and pot production.
  • Accurately process Raw Material Goods into the Rubicon system.
  • Conduct quality checks on intake, generate quality assessments with photographic evidence, and communicate results to suppliers.
  • Ensure all delivered goods (cut & pot) meet required specifications.
  • Audit the product journey through production, ensuring paperwork conformance.
  • Carry out a range of audits, including Internal Audits, GMP, and Quality audits.
  • Check codes, dates, labels, sleeves, and packaging, addressing any discrepancies.
  • Perform daily Quality stock checks, reporting any stock issues to Line Leaders and Managers.
  • Conduct weekly Glass and Brittle Plastic checks.
  • Perform monthly traceability & mass balance exercises.
  • Communicate technical or quality-related issues to the QA Manager & Technical Manager through daily handover emails.
  • Ensure Health & Safety & HACCP requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping systems, both manual and computerised.
  • Monitor product shelf life, quality, and trials in line with customer specifications.
  • Carry out laboratory sampling for Pesticides and Microbiological testing, including hand swabs and water samples.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a positive and proactive approach with internal and external staff and visitors.
  • Support the Technical Department during external audits, including BRC, GLOBALG.A.P., Red Tractor, LEAF, and SMETA.
  • Represent the Technical Department in internal meetings, such as First Aid, Health & Safety, and the Employee Forum.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance or food manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes accurately.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety standards is advantageous.

Salary £27-28k, depending on experience
