Job Purpose:

This role is responsible for leading and delivering high-profile industry programmes, including Women in Rail, The Actuarial Mentoring Programme and Women in Platinum Group Metals. These nine-month cross-company mentoring programmes engage over 600 participants across 80 organisations, supporting high-potential talent to advance in their careers. 

As a Client and Programme Partner, you will have full ownership of your programme portfolio, ensuring successful execution from end to end. This includes planning for and managing programme events (both virtual and in-person), overseeing communications, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in ensuring that clients receive outstanding service, leading to long-term engagement and retention.

Key accountabilities: 
Programme management and delivery: 
 
  • Ownership of all aspects of programme delivery, guaranteeing all milestones and objectives are met. 
  • Plan, organise and execute high-quality in-person and virtual programme events 
  • Own and manage detailed programme plans. 
  • Manage the programme budget, making sure programmes are delivered in budget while maintaining high standards. 
  • Work collaboratively with other teams in the business to achieve outcomes, thus delivering through others. 
  • Coordinate internal teams to enhance programme execution and effectiveness. 
 
Client relationship management: 
 
  • Maintain and deepen strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders (both internal and external). 
  • Lead client calls, working closely with them to identify their needs, challenges and opportunities. 
  • Deliver high client satisfaction by providing exceptional service and continuous improvement, resulting in long-term retention and relationship expansion. 
 
Retention and business development: 
 
  • Retain clients year on year. 
  • Expand client relationships, programmes and increase revenue. 
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional Moving Ahead programmes. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to explore and develop new business opportunities within your industry programmes. 
  • Actively seek feedback from clients and participants to drive continuous improvement and innovation in programme delivery. 
 
Knowledge, skills and experience:
 
  • Proven experience managing relationships across multiple accounts. 
  • Experience in programme or project management, with a track record of successfully delivery. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence key decision-makers. 
  • Strong event management skills, with experience executing both virtual and in-person events. 
  • Experience of managing budgets and programme expenditure. 
  • Some experience in business development or revenue generation. 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual event platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams). 
  • Experience of working with a CRM is desirable but not essential.

Notes

2nd stage interviews will be held in person in our central Reading office on Monday 14th April. We may add another day that week, depending on the number of candidates that progress to the 2nd round.
