COMMITMENT:   Attends quarterly Trustee Board meetings

RGU Students’ Union (RGU:Union) is an independent member-led organisation which exists to represent and support students at Robert Gordon University.

As a registered charity in Scotland, RGU:Union is governed by a Trustee Board, comprised of elected Student Presidents, student representatives (elected and appointed), a university representative, plus a number of external trustees who can draw on diverse skills and industry experience to advise and support Union activities and development.

We now seek to recruit a new external trustee to the board, preferably with experience in areas relating to fundraising, financial management, community-based activities, or commercial development, however interested applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Trustee Board members attend four regular meetings throughout the year and collectively contribute to the overall direction of RGU:Union, ensuring appropriate support is available with regards to the charity's long-term strategy, key performance areas, budgeting, and future development.

The Union is a highly-impactful award winning organisation, which has a positive influence on the student experience at RGU by providing diverse extra-curricular opportunities, undertaking campaigns for change, supporting student wellbeing, and engaging with a wide range of inspiring, hard-working students.

Please note current students or staff members of Robert Gordon University are not eligible to hold this position.
