Key Responsibilities:
Safety First
- Ensure all staff are inducted and trained according to company procedures.
- Lead by example in maintaining a strong safety culture.
- Conduct and oversee safety investigations and reporting.
- Support the Health & Safety committee with team representation.
People Management
- Conduct appraisals and performance reviews to support team development.
- Address employee relations issues in collaboration with HR.
- Manage attendance, holidays, and staff training plans.
- Promote a positive, respectful work environment, ensuring fair treatment of all employees.
- Drive staff engagement and internal succession planning.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure product quality meets customer expectations and technical specifications.
- Maintain food safety standards and compliance with company policies.
- Close out non-conformances and drive continuous quality improvements.
- Support audit readiness and compliance with BRC and customer COP standards.
Operational Efficiency & Delivery
- Lead production lines to maximize efficiency and meet daily order targets.
- Optimize labor utilization and drive performance improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Commercial, SOP, and Dispatch.
- Ensure production planning and execution align with business goals.
Cost Management & Environmental Responsibility
- Monitor and control costs, including labor, raw materials, and overheads.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Support environmental policies by minimizing waste and resource consumption.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within food manufacturing or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve business objectives.
