Here at Lincolnshire Herbs, we have a fantastic opportunity to join the glasshouse Team as a Grower. Based in Bourne, Lincolnshire we are the UK’s largest grower of fresh cut and living pot herbs.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking to develop their plant knowledge and increase their practical horticulture experience.

Responsibilities
· To monitor the crop for pests and diseases, carefully planning and managing the biological control application plan and utilising pesticide application where necessary as a last resort.
· To continuously challenge the growing process and to improve product quality & efficiencies.
· Attend the external agronomy fortnightly visits and initiate corrective actions identified.
· Monitor seed counts, germination rates and adjust as required.
· Assist in the planting and seeding of crops. Ensure that plants in appropriate soil conditions.
· Responsible for watering and fertilizing of plants as per schedule.
· To monitor the soil levels and adjust accordingly.
· To action daily, weekly, and monthly task lists, examples of tasks include:
o Weekly crops walk with Lead Grower and the Commercial, Ops and Technical Team.
o Taking monthly press-water samples and adjusting nutrient PH as necessary
o Sulphur Pot management
o Rosemary PHA Xylella checks
Qualifications / Experience
· Previous glasshouse experience would be useful.
· NROSO membership and hold PA1 & PA6 certification (this can be attained in role if required)
· Ability to work independently and in a team.
