ABOUT THE ROLE

Wrexham Tennis and Padel Centre a charitable organisation, operates at the heart of North Wales, providing thousands of people with access to (indoor and outdoor) tennis, padel and leisure facilities.

In partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council, the LTA and Tennis Wales, the Trustees of Centre have created a five-year strategy with the intention to grow and develop Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre. Our mission is to ‘Improve health, wellbeing and potential for everyone, offering a 'world class environment' with tennis at its heart’.

The Centre Assistant is a key part of the team, delivering day to day support for customers using the centre. We are looking for people with a passion for customer service who will support customers during their visit to the centre.

As a centre assistant you will be responsible for customer service across reception and café areas support cleaning and set up for meetings, events and functions.

This role will require flexibility to work daytimes evening and weekends shifts as required.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support all customers and visitors to the centre – dealing with general enquires and administration duties

· Utilising our booking management system Clubspark for court, course and event bookings

· Actively promote centre activities and facilities to current and potential customers, communicating new programmes and special offers

· Preparing and serving food and drinks from our Café

· Ensure all meetings, rooms, functions, and events are set-up as required and presented with excellence

· Provide daily support to ensure all courts and supporting areas are cleaned and maintained, indoors and outdoors

· Work within our company policies and Health & Safety guidelines. Undertake training as and when required

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Skills (essential)
  • Communication face to face, email and telephone
  • Work as part of a team and work unsupervised to agreed outcomes and timeframes.
  • Working flexibly on a shift rota
  • Ability to prioritise tasks
  • Knowledge of booking management systems

Knowledge, Training & Qualifications (essential):
  • Safeguarding Training / qualified or willingness to undertake training 
  • First aid training / qualified or willingness to undertake training 
  • Food Hygiene / qualified or willingness to undertake training
    Manual handling training / qualified or willingness to undertake training 
  • A satisfactory DBS disclosure 
  • Clubspark / willingness to undertake training 
  • Customer service experience / willingness to undertake training
