Pracrooms is the UK’s largest bootcamping facility provider – loved and trusted by some of the largest organisations in esports.
The UKIC is the UK and Ireland’s largest Counter-Strike tournament hub, running through FACEIT, with over 51,000 active members.
Loadout Media is a full-service media and content creation agency which brings esports brands and local businesses' visions to life.
All of this takes place under the roof of our Sheffield HQ – we’re the only esports organisation in the UK with a facility outside of London.
The role:
As our brands continually expand, we’re looking to hire a ‘Facilities Intern’ on a 6-month fixed term contract. You’ll be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of our client service brands, working closely with our Business Development lead and executive management to ensure Pracrooms and Loadout Media exceed client expectations.
This is a part-time paid role, based at our Sheffield office, it is not suitable for remote workers.
The contracted hours will be 20 per week, spread over Monday - Friday to meet the needs of the business. Some evening and weekend work will be required, and notice will be provided.
Core responsibilities:
- General housekeeping of our facilities, including the Endpoint HQ, Pracrooms bootcamps, and our media studio
- Housekeeping of our Pracrooms apartments, giving our guests the rest they need whilst joining us for their bootcamp
- Reordering and restocking consumables across our facilities
- Occasionally supporting clients with troubleshooting hardware and any housekeeping requests they may pose
- Reporting any damages or maintenance issues to the management team
- Taking the initiative to resolve issues
- Ensuring facilities are turned around on check out, ready for new clients to arrive
Additional ad-hoc responsibilities:
- Work with our Business Development lead and COO to understand how we generate revenue, and develop new business leads
- Liaise with our Head of Marketing and social media team, understanding the use of social media within esports, and occasionally providing match coverage for our team’s fixtures
- Assisting our content team with studio set-up, and learning about media production for both our own esports and client commercial projects
- Occasional travel to events to support fan marketing activations and new business development
- Other tasks within reason to meet the needs of the business
The ideal candidate will have:
- A real passion for esports and gaming is a must, this industry is dynamic, and it takes hard work and determination to succeed, this is a great chance to take your first steps into the industry
- A customer-centric approach, you’ll be working with some of the world's biggest gamers and creators, we want to give them the best experience possible
- A positive, can-do attitude is essential
- A willingness to learn – there will be a lot to pick up, and we’re here to support you, giving you a wide knowledge of this industry and how we operate a successful brand
- This role may include physical tasks such as moving PCs and other office equipment
- Good availability – whilst this role is part-time, some flexibility will be required around the needs of the business, this will be communicated in advance
- A good eye for detail, making sure all elements of the customer experience are perfect
- The right to work in the United Kingdom
- Located in Sheffield, the surrounding areas, or a willingness to commute
