We are looking for a fun and enthusiastic individual to become a member of our Roman Legion! 

Understanding Roman history is great but not as essential as the ability to engage and inspire children from 7+, and give them the best school trip they've ever had! 

This is an ideal job for someone with a lot of energy with a flair for the dramatic. 

Days are planned in advance and soldiers are guided by a manager each day on which schools and which role they are to perform. The day includes inside tours of the museum (hitting learning outcomes) and a fun outside tour where the children are expected to march through the city creating a memorable experience. 

Full training will be given, shift shadowing, a costume will be provided. 

 

There will also be the opportunity to work as “front of house” at our sister site Sick to Death. So excellent customer services skills are also desirable. The team all work as a team and light cleaning duties to ensure the area is tidy after the schools have left will also be required. 

16 hours + is available.
Rate of pay is £12.50 per hour
Hours will normally be from 10am to approx. 2pm per day.

- The DEVA Roman Experience, Chester – an interactive voyage back through time 2000 years ago to Roman Britannia.
- Sick to Death, Chester - The gory story of medicine through time.
