The Role 
 
Twycross Zoo is looking for a talented Marketing Executive to join our growing in-house team.
 
Supporting the team to execute our marketing strategy, you’ll play a key role in creating awe-inspiring content that tells the story of our zoo, global conservation work and highlights our mission to save species from extinction around the world.
 
Reporting to our PR & Content Manager, you'll get the chance to work across multiple marketing initiatives, supporting us to create compelling content, execute PR & marketing campaigns and drive forward our charity and business goals.
 
Key responsibilities will include:
 
  • Developing and producing engaging content for a variety of marketing initiatives
  • Providing support in all areas of PR and social media activities, enhancing the zoo's presence and reputation
  • Executing marketing campaigns and events with creativity and efficiency
  • Focusing on specific marketing programs for schools/groups, animal experiences, and corporate/trade engagements

About you
 
This role will have a strong focus on organic content production, so will naturally suit a confident creative, who can collaborate with multiple teams and external partners and knows their way around short-form video.
 
  • You will have proven experience in marketing, content creation and campaign execution
  • Your organisational skills will be second to none and it goes without saying that you’ll be a natural communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels!
  • You will have the ability to work creatively and collaboratively within the team
  • Proficient in using digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Confident working with the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • If you have experience working in the visitor attraction, wildlife conservation or education sector that would be a real advantage, but not essential

This is a full-time role, based on site at Twycross Zoo. Flexible working is available, but due to the nature of the job you will need to be able to travel to the zoo regularly. Some weekend working may be required.

Twycross Zoo is at the forefront of conservation, education, and research. We have a strong commitment to our award-winning education programme, aiming to increase the level of awareness, knowledge and understanding of visitors about our animals. We aim to inspire visitors to support biodiversity conservation in any way they can.  
 
This is an exciting time to join Twycross Zoo as we have been awarded £20m grant funding to develop the National Science and Conservation Centre (NSCC) on the Twycross Zoo site. The NSCC will support vital work around species conservation. It will bring together experts in conservation science and train the next generation of conservationists, whilst offering researchers from around the world the opportunity to study the four great apes and other endangered species, in naturalistic complex environments. The facilities will include a lecture theatre, classrooms, and laboratories, all planned to open in 2025.
