<div><strong>JOB OPPORTUNITY</strong></div><div>We are looking for a person with lived experience of being a refugee, internally displaced, or stateless to join our work placement programme as a <strong>Digital Communications Trainee.<br></strong><br></div><div>This exciting new programme offers a 6-month paid placement that serves to equip you with a range of digital communication skills, whether you are just beginning your career or have some professional experience and are transitioning to work in the UK. <br><br></div><div>The role sits within the communications team and will involve working on the UK for UNHCR website and social media channels, as well as liaising with the Fundraising teams on content creation. If the candidate has photography and video skills, there could be opportunities to support with these at events. <br><br></div><div>A good working knowledge of English is required to communicate with the teams, but written English does not need to be fluent. We can support on written English for content creation. <br><br></div><div>This role would suit someone who creates content for their own website, blog or social media channels, or someone with professional experience of working in a website and social media team looking to gain experience working in a UK organisation.<br><br><strong>WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO </strong> </div><div>United Kingdom for UNHCR is the United Nations Refugee Agency’s national charity partner for the United Kingdom. We generate public awareness of the plight of refugees and raise funds to help protect them through UNHCR’s humanitarian operations across the world.</div><div> </div><div>Our supporters include UK private individuals, communities, corporate partners, trusts and foundations.
