We have a fantastic opportunity available at Standalone Farm, this is a new and key role supporting our Junior Manager, Catering in building upon the success of our Greenway Café. You will be preparing and serving food in accordance with menu requirements and helping to lead the team to ensure a smooth running of the service.
Working on a rota shift pattern over 3 days and acting as cover for the Junior Manger, Catering during periods of annual leave. This is a varied and busy role, in which you will be putting your skills to play in preparing menus and developing recipes, planning, organising and monitoring controls of food quality, maintaining the food cost within the unit, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is maintained to a high standard.
You will also be assisting with the recruitment of new team members and providing ongoing support, training and development in line with current legislation (e.g. Food Safety; COSHH; Alcohol; Allergens and Health & Safety).
ABOUT YOU:
- You must be able to demonstrable catering experience, ideally both front and back of house.
- Have experience in or the ability to step up to provide supervisory support and development of other staff
- Previous experience and involvement in events planning and organising.
- Flexible approach to work and a ‘can do’ attitude
