Hours: This role is being recruited as Zero Hour but is likely to be 5hrs pw or more with extra hours available during Elections, Freshers and other peak times.
Location: This role is based in the main office in UHI House, Inverness.
Purpose of the role
The Students’ Association for the Highlands and Islands is an incredibly complex and busy environment and the Operations Team is at the heart of what keeps it running. We cover Finance, HR & Payroll, Facilities and Compliance as well as general operational needs such as travel, equipment and other logistical requirements.
This individual needs to be a team player but equally able to work under their own direction. Working in our main office with a range of other staff and officers, this individual could gain valuable experience for a future career in office administration, finance, HR, business or event planning.
Duties may include:
1. Assisting with managing the general mailbox and scheduling meetings
2. Processing data for HR reports
3. Assisting with travel and accommodation bookings
4. Arranging supplies and equipment to be sent out to other offices
5. Working on monthly internal newsletters
6. Placing orders for local teams
7. Maintaining stock of office supplies
