Department: Academy and Youth Development
Reports to: Girls Programme Manager and Elite Scholarship Manager
Location: Training Sites within Cambridge & The Abbey Stadium
Salary: £24,000
Hours: 40 per week

Role Summary

 To manage and support the players in the Elite Scholarship for our female teams.

To assist with the running and development of Cambridge United’s female programmes.

To lead the running and organisation of the clubs girls ETC programme.

To provide high quality coaching and opportunities for youth female players, targeting new participation and raising the profile of Cambridge United FC.

Key Job Outcomes

 To attend and lead in the operation of the games programme for the Female Elite Scholarship Schemes.

To deliver coaching sessions to all Elite Scholarship players in line with the Academy Philosophy and coaching curriculum.

To manage, review and implement the best strategy to continuously improve the programme as best as possible.

To ensure the Academy Philosophies and Values are adhered to by the players within the CRC Programme.

To undertake personal CPD as appropriate to meet the demands of the role.

To lead in the monitoring and assessment of the players in the whole CRC Female Programme from training and match performances.

To lead with the scouting and recruitment process where appropriate for all teams within our Elite Female Scholarship programme.

To assist with administrative tasks related to the role, including general organisation, recording of sessions, match performances and player reviews.

To lead on the organisation, delivery and communication of the girls ETC programme which includes the running of training sessions, fixtures, trials and other additional opportunities/events.

To assist with the organisation and delivery of all other Cambridge United’s girls programmes.

To recruit, train and manage the required staff for the ETC and other girls programmes including assisting with CPD events.

To meet/exceed the financial targets for the female programmes, as set by the Club.

To ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of the ETC budget.

To deliver the brand standards of outstanding customer service whilst ensuring a clear and effective line of communication is maintained across all departments.

To promote and market all Club activities and programmes by appropriate means, as requested. You will be assisted with this by the Communications Manager and the other Business Operations team members.

Person Specification

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

UEFA B award in coaching football - desirable
UEFA C award in coaching football - essential
Experienced and has knowledge of female football
Introduction to First Aid qualification
FA Safeguarding children workshop
Experienced in talent ID
Experience of delivering excellent customer services
IT Skills, including Outlook, Word and Powerpoint
Experience of working with player/parents in football environments
Experience in leading/managing an area/people or teams
Experience working in a high performing business environment
Has an understanding of how elite players are developed
