Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all of the company’s financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
- Prepare financial reports on a monthly and annual basis using the company’s in-house financial systems.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions.
- Supervise financial assistants in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, bank reconciliations, payroll, VAT, credit control, purchase ledger management functions etc, and undertake these roles where needed.
- Facilitate the Group’s payroll processes.
- Seek out methods and practices to improve the efficiency of the finance function and recommend cost savings for the business where possible.
Support the Group FC as required in the following tasks:
- Variance analysis of the budgets for each office location and line of business.
- Company and wider group budgetary planning.
- Updating and implementing financial policies and procedures.
- Providing executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and financial strategising.
- Providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support.
- Other adhoc project work.
Experience Required:
· A practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.
· Solid knowledge of standard accountancy and finance best practices.
· Solid IT skills, including proficiency in the relevant accounting packages.
· A strong understanding of tax codes and laws
· Strong analytical skills to effectively analyse financial reports.
· In-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting
· Proven experience in managing people.
Experience Desirable:
· Knowledge in Professional Services or Accountancy and Accountancy practice trained
