We have an exciting opportunity to work for Bristol City Robins Foundation as a Senior Community Coach.
Our Senior Community Coach will be responsible for the planning and delivery of high-quality sessions across different projects in local schools and community settings. They will forge strong relationships with participants and school staff as well as strive to grow the projects they work on. They will place safeguarding at the centre of everything they do and ensure that all participants are in a safe and positive environment. The person who fills this role will be competent in the delivery of subjects such as PE, PSHE, maths and English, building relationships with both young people and school staff as well as members of staff from partner organisations. They will report to the Schools Manager.
Your main responsibilities:
· Deliver a minimum of 25 coaching hours across all community projects per week.
· Plan high-quality sessions in PE, PSHE, maths and English, with a focus on self-reflection.
· Establish constructive relationships with participants and support them according to individual needs.
· Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all participants.
· Use strategies to support pupils to achieve learning goals.
· Demonstrate a commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults in line with the Foundation’s policies.
· Complete all admin tasks associated with the role and all CPD requirements.
You will have:
· FA Level 1 Qualification in Coaching Football.
· Safeguarding Children Workshop
· Emergency First Aid Certificate
· Experience in football development, delivery in schools and community engagement.
· An understanding of the issues faced by young people, specifically in relation to young people in areas of deprivation.
· Experience in working with targeted groups or individuals in areas of deprivation, through building positive relationships and mentoring.
· An understanding of safeguarding and health and safety in a youth work setting.
· A proven ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
· A commitment to supporting young people, and the principles of equality and diversity.
· Self-motivated and the ability to work on own initiative.
· Excellent communication skills including written, telephone and interpersonal skills.
· Proven planning and organization skills.
· IT literate.
· Full UK driving license.
