This project focuses on underrepresented carer groups: male, young adult and minority ethnic group carers.
Carers in Bedfordshire is a registered charity that is governed by carers, for carers. Its work is to ensure carers care while maintaining their health and wellbeing, and are properly valued and supported by the government and the community.
The role will require working at CiB activities at different venues around the county.
We are looking for:
- A passion for working with underrepresented groups of unpaid carers
- Proven reliability, friendliness, enthusiasm, professional demeanour and sense of humour
- Own transport essential
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitating face to face events and groups arranged by Carers in Bedfordshire and supporting carers who attend - focusing on underrepresented carer groups.
- Attending carer awareness initiatives, for example: organised engagement events and canvassing in identified areas.
- Supporting carers with our registration process, this will include: making phone calls to carers and talking them through are referral form / supporting them to complete this.
