We are looking to recruit a new Coordinator that will work closely with the South America team to implement strategies and engage with members and stakeholders in 9 countries of South America ensuring their needs are addressed, supporting the development, implementation and communication of Bonsucro's tools and processes and raising Bonsucro´s profile and reputation in the region.  
Members management  
  • Coordinate the management of member-companies in South America, ensuring member satisfaction and relationship-building according to the Bonsucro's membership handbook (retention, recruitment, updates)  
  • Coordinate the Bonsucro’s due diligence process with new and old members in South America  
  • Coordinate Bonsucro training offer to stakeholders in South America  
  
Communications & Influencing  
  • Assist the Communications team in developing relevant and strategic content for the region  
  • Lead the regional dissemination of the Bonsucro Claims & Labelling proposition.  
  • Coordinate the organization of Bonsucro events in South America  
  • Assist the Regional Head from time to time with projects and communications as required  

Market Development  
  • Feed into the South America team with trends and market opportunities identified from communications with members  
  • Provide support to strategic working groups on key thematic areas, including Living Wage, Climate Action, Water Stewardship and Human Rights  
 
Essential Criteria:  
  • Knowledge of the sugarcane sector, sugarcane farming and mills operations.  
  • Familiarity with Bonsucro certification system and standards (Production, Chain of Custody and Calculator).  
  • Native Spanish or Portuguese speaker with excellent written and spoken Spanish and Portuguese.  
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and teamwork skills.  
  • A self-starter with strong organisational and time management skills.  
  • Good attention to detail.  
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Bonsucro.  
  
Desirable Criteria  
  • Sustainability-related educational background.  
  • Track record of working with membership/multi-stakeholder organisations.  
  • Prior experience working in Communications teams.  
  • Familiarity with other agricultural crops and sustainability.  
  • Experience with managing projects.  
  • Data and numeracy skills.

Special Features: 
This role requires some travel time and will spend approx. 30% of time visiting and engaging face to face with members.
