About Groundsure
Groundsure is an authority on environmental risks. The main arm of Groundsure’s business provides environmental reports on residential and commercial properties. These compile authoritative, site-specific data and provide an assessment on various environmental risks to property (flooding etc) to inform a purchase, and form part of the ‘searches’ a conveyancer is typically required to order as part of any property transaction. Groundsure is a market leader, with the majority of the residential market ordering searches from Groundsure.
Role Overview
- We are looking for a product manager to help grow our exciting blend of software and ‘report’ products (software generated documents, consumed largely as PDFs)
- In collaboration with colleagues, the incoming product manager will ensure we are doing the right things at the right time to take our business forward
- The work will be varied; working across different product types, markets, industries and territories
- The role sits within the Product team; composed of PMs, Designers, Researchers and Data Engineers, and will work collaboratively with Engineers in our own flavour of agile
About the role

- Maintaining momentum, making trade-offs to ensure we are regularly delivering incremental customer value
- Having a deep understanding of our customers and the markets in which we operate
- Facilitating communication between teams and stakeholders
- Helping to define and drive the product strategy
You will be:
- Collaborative in nature, working closely with design and engineering colleagues and others in the business to plan, define and deliver the work
- Outcome focused, but comfortable working to deadlines and the business’ chosen planning framework
- Familiar and competent with product management techniques and practices. Able to plan and deliver activities to tease value from customers and colleagues alike
- Comfortable defining, designing and delivering customer research
- Data-driven; making decisions based on all available information and testing hypotheses and assumptions appropriately throughout the lifecycle of a product or feature
- A strong communicator; being able to tailor communication styles to different audiences. As comfortable engaging with engineers as with c-suite
- Keen but lean; meticulous in research, planning and documentation, leaving no stone unturned - whilst remaining flexible and agile enough to pivot when needed
- Balanced; as the intersection between customer, business and technology you will possess the ability to weigh up and communicate different kinds of value
- Curious; you will possess a learning mindset, always driving towards the next test, learning and decision
- A nice person! Open, honest, diligent and respectful in all things.
Your experience:
- A strong and demonstrable track record of creating value by solving problems end to end
