Details
We are a strong and well-respected local charity with an ambitious plan to expand so that we can do more for carers. Our staff are our most precious resource who make a difference in carers lives, whether they support someone caring for another adult in the family, a parent caring for a child with additional needs or a child who has caring responsibilities.

Carers in Bedfordshire's mission is to give carers access to the knowledge, skills and support that enables them to remain in a caring role for as long as they choose.

The communications officer plays a key role in planning and delivering our communications.

This includes engaging with carers, supporters, volunteers and our own staff through the website, social media, online and through printed promotional materials. You will also plan and implement communications and promotional campaigns to generate funds and raise awareness of the charity.  Through research and the analysis of data you will progressively improve the charity’s understanding of the most effective channels and content.

You’ll be excited about using your skills to create and curate great content across many platforms. You will make sure we stand out and that no one can miss us at their time of need.

Our working culture is inclusive, friendly and collaborative – with a strong focus on flexibility and an embedded can-do approach. Your skills and passion for our cause will make a direct difference to carers, many of whom are reluctant to come forward for support or do not even recognise themselves as carers.
