Role Purpose:
To engage parents and local communities in supporting Children’s Centre activities by implementing Community Development Model and Communication Channels.

Experience:
  • Working in partnership with a range of agencies to improve take up and enhance service outcomes for children aged under 5 and families.
  • Experience of community development 
  • Experience on solution focused to improve outcomes for children under 5.
  • Planning, coordinating and delivering community activities and events.
  • Experience of developing Service Engagement that may have included Parent Forum.
  • Experience of co-production with service users including families of under 5’s.


 Knowledge:
  • Community Profiling
  • Community Capacity Building
  • Different community engagement approaches 

Skills:
  • Skilled in a variety of methods of engaging communities and parents with demonstrable outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills leading to engagement.
  • Planning, developing, monitoring and evaluating services – ability to show impact of work.
  • Prioritising, managing workloads and meeting deadlines using data to inform approach.
  • Report writing and presenting to range of audiences in a variety of format.
  • Administrative Skills including marketing/publicity 


Qualifications and Training:
Educated to Level 3 in relevant field.
