The role of Chief Instructor is exciting, rewarding and varied. They will lead a team of around 20 staff members and be responsible for the overall safety and quality of the operation. They will need to lead and motivate their team aswell as be a big part in interacting with teachers and children to provide the best trips possible 

During the week the Chief Instructor will need to ensure that they plan their own time well to ensure that all aspects of the role are completed. This will include hosting morning meetings to communicate messages to the team, observing staff performance and delivering feedback to aid their development, discussing teachers feedback in order to improve our trip offerings plus ensuring at all health and safety checks are completed and any paperwork is sent through to the senior team when required. 

To assist with various aspects of the role, a Senior Instructor will form part of the team to act as a deputy. They can assist with supervising meal times, completing safety checks and observing staff performance. 

The Chief Instructor will need to timetable to Adventure Team so that all aspects of the trips are covered. This includes all activities plus the arrivals process including accommodation checks, welcome tasks and group site orientation, restaurant supervising and the organisation of departures. The team will also need to be allocated at times to the two roles below.
