About the job
Our libel checkers support our sector-leading and award-winning Student Media groups and Societies to produce content which is high quality and within the law. You will check the student newspaper's online and print articles to ensure there are no legal and reputation issues and with an ad-hoc approach support our societies who produce a range of magazines, blogs and journals. There is a broad spectrum of contentious and polarizing media matters that are covered by our groups so this job is sometimes fast paced, energising and empowering.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a professional individual who has a keen eye for detail and a strong knowledge of media law including libel and defamation. Having strong communication and interpersonal skills is important as you will support the Students' Union to direct and sometimes negotiate with student leads on contentious issues and the editorial process. This role is perfect for a student looking to take on a professional opportunity to make change through empowering the student voice at the LSE whilst studying.
