Vacancy at Carers in Bedfordshire
We are a strong and well-respected local charity with an ambitious plan to expand so that we can do more for carers. Our staff are our most precious resource. We know all our staff and volunteers make a difference in carers lives, whether they support someone caring for another adult in the family, a parent caring for a child with additional needs or a child who has caring responsibilities.
The Carer Link Worker - Hospital Support role is an exciting dual role position linking the charity to those in need in our local hospitals. You will have the autonomy to develop the role while meeting the core outcomes.
You'll be a real people person, be pro-active and enjoy networking; to engage with unpaid carers and build strong relationships with professionals.
To identify, support and signpost unpaid carers in hospital settings across Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; namely Bedford Hospital and Luton & Dunstable Hospital. This will include liaising with hospital staff and over-seeing the carers hubs in both hospitals.
Ideally you’ll have experience of working in a hospital environment and/or working with carers, so have a good understanding of the issues they face. Coaching/training will be given.
Our working culture is inclusive, friendly and collaborative – with a strong focus on flexibility and an embedded can-do approach. Your skills and passion for our cause will make a direct difference to carers.
