Employment Advisor
Job Description
Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday
Holidays:
Salary: 25 days per annum plus public holidays
Up to £26,847 dependent on experience
Routes to Work South are committed to working with partner agencies to deliver a flexible, accessible, client-centered service that will support local people who are out of work to progress and sustain employment, support local employers, and link opportunity and need.
Your role will be to establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients, employers and partner organisations, understanding their needs, identifying and linking employment, placement and development opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be target driven, motivated, enthusiastic, an excellent communicator able to build strong relationships and meet KPI’s with experience in a similar role.
MAIN AIMS:
• To achieve targets and KPI's to support clients to progress and sustain employment;
• To promote and encourage key client groups to engage in RTWS services
• To actively manage a caseload of clients with a range of barriers who are at different stages of their employability journey, provide support and access to health and well-being interventions, training opportunities, match them to suitable vacancies and progress them into sustainable employment;
• To proactively work with clients and employers to increase the range and number of job opportunities available for clients;
• To deliver a range of 1-2-1 and group support sessions tailored to meet customer needs.
• To meet ongoing contractual compliance requirements including accurately completing all paperwork and input to a bespoke database.
DUTIES:
• To deliver personal targets and KPI's and contribute to team targets and KPI's in line with the performance management framework;
• Develop an individual Action Plan for all clients that will be regularly reviewed to support clients to overcome barriers to employment;
• Completing training needs analysis ensuring interventions are tailored to clients needs and aspirations;
• Working imaginatively and flexibly, actively manage and support a caseload of participants and support and progress them into sustainable employment;
• To work in collaboration with colleagues to ensure the client’s journey is fully supported towards sustaining unsupported employment, including identifying and facilitating work placements.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with employers, partners and all stakeholders providing regular updates on client progress as appropriate;
• Maintain a good understanding of local vacancies in order to effectively match clients to suitable vacancies/work placements and market client’s to employers;
• Ensure auditable documentation including job outcome verifications are completed and filed accordingly;
• Capture and record accurate information and input it into bespoke database in line with company quality standard;
• Deliver and maintain a quality service at all times in line with RTWS Customer Service Standards Policy and Procedures;
• Be aware of the confidential nature of information received, and act at all times within the boundaries of GDPR.
• Carry out other duties in line with organisational requirements.
TARGETS
Routes to Work South are a performance and target driven organisation and targets and key performance indicators will be discussed and agreed with the post holder at induction.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Essential
• A proven track record in a similar client facing role;
• Ability to match clients to suitable vacancies/opportunities and progress them into sustainable employment;
• Target and performance driven to achieve KPI’S;
• Ability to manage and support a caseload and achieve targets for progress
• Ability to encourage, persuade and motivate;
• Flexibility to cope with the varying demands of the role and achieve the desired results;
• Ability to problem solve and respond appropriately to a variety of situations;
• Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
• Good organisational skills;
• IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office and Outlook;
Desirable
• Knowledge of local labour market intelligence;
• A relevant qualification;
• Experience of working on DWP programmes;
• Experience of Business Development activity;
• Evidence of continued professional development;
