Vacancy at Carers in Bedfordshire
We are a strong and well-respected local charity with an ambitious plan to expand so that we can do more for carers. Our staff are our most precious resource. We know all our staff and volunteers make a difference in carers lives, whether they support someone caring for another adult in the family, a parent caring for a child with additional needs or a child who has caring responsibilities.
This role will support the work of the Workshop, Events and Groups team by organising interesting and exciting activities for our services to carers including: young carers, former carers, carers and the people they care for. This could be support groups, one off events and information sessions. There is an opportunity to also deliver some of the events, which will be across Bedfordshire (excluding Luton Borough) and working in partnership with other charities. You will also provide administrative support to ensure the efficient and effective week to week running of groups, workshops and monthly events.
You’ll be a very organised, independent worker and enjoy meeting and supporting people and working with a dedicated team in a forward thinking organisation.
Our working culture is inclusive, friendly and collaborative – with a strong focus on flexibility and an embedded can-do approach. Your skills and passion for our cause will make a direct difference to carers.
