Job Summary

The Production Planner will be responsible for accurately planning & progressing product through the bottling and packaging processes. The Planner will ensure and balance the need for cost effective production together with high quality output.

The Planner will own the material planning process for all brands for the full end to end process. They will be responsible for the SKU creation process including creation of BOM's and managing relationships with key suppliers and fillers.

The job holder will be well organised with the ability to prioritise and apply logic to identify solutions with both purchasing and production environments. Good knowledge of MRP/ERP systems is required.

The Candidate
You will be working in or have experience of the whisky sector. We have grown strongly in recent years and have clear plans to grow further and are looking for an experienced and exceptional individual to come and join the team and be part of our journey.

• Manage Production Planning for allocated products
• Plan and draw up production schedules
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials
• Co-ordinate production workflows
• Coordinate resources to maintain production objectives.
• Schedule dry goods materials and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Raise Purchase Orders and make amendments.
• Process and approve invoices
• Budget control
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed
• Monitor productivity rates, product standards.
• Ensure orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met
• Analyse NPD & Production Bill of Materials ensure stock is correctly consumed on Production Orders
• Ensure contracted bottlers adhere to agreed production plans
• Ensure on-time deliveries for components & finished products
• Recommend and lead Inventory management projects
• Perform regular stock checks with bottlers
• Root cause stock discrepancies and carry out stock adjustments
• Ensure Technical & Quality specifications are adhered to
• Collate and analyse data, producing production reports for internal use by other departments
• Proactively support new initiatives (5S, Lean Manufacturing)
• Input data onto MRP system

• Diploma or degree level preferred but not essential
• Advanced experience with Excel and the ability to manipulate large data sets
• Systems driven with good analytical skills, experience working with Oracle NetSuite is desired

Other Requirements

• Holds a current UK driver’s license and has access to a vehicle as and when required.
• Job will require time on sites, currently within COVID rules and for essential visits.
